On Friday I went to Academy with Saheer and witnessed a hitherto unknown level of record-dorking. Apparently these guys have conversations about Ornette Coleman and hard bop VS straight-ahead bop ALL THE TIME.
Anyways, Saheer bought the Dennis Wilson (noted insane ex-Beach Boy) solo album "Pacific Ocean Blue" which I had never heard before, but that's irrelevant, because here'sFOUR REASONS YOU CAN ASSUME "PACIFIC OCEAN BLUE" BY DENNIS WILSON IS AMAZING WITHOUT EVEN LISTENING TO IT:1. IT WAS RECORDED IN 1977, AKA THE GREATEST YEAR FOR POP MUSIC EVER.2. DENNIS WILSON WAS BFF WITH CHARLES MANSON.
3. DENNIS WILSON WAS THE ONLY BEACH BOY WHO ACTUALLY EVER WENT SURFING, AS OPPOSED TO TUB-OF-GUTS MANCHILD BRIAN WILSON, WHO NEVER GOT OVER THE BEATLES.4. HE HAD RELATIONS WITH CHRISTINE MCVIE, AS WELL AS EVERY SINGLE WOMAN WHO WAS ALIVE AT ANY POINT IN THE ENTIRE DECADE OF THE 1970S (INCLUDING BOTH YOUR MOTHER AS WELL AS MY OWN).
